The venue can be reached either from the train station at Berlin Hauptbahnhof (main station) or you change at train station Berlin Ostbahnhof or Berlin Zoologischer Garten to the rapid transit system (S-Bahn) and get off at Hauptbahnhof (main station). The venue is a 15-minute walk from main station.
by rapid transit (S) and underground (U)
All rapid transit trains on the east-west axis stop at Hauptbahnhof (main station). The rapid transit lines S1, S2 and S25, as well as the underground line U6, which all travel in the north-south directions, stop only at Friedrichstraße from where you can walk or take bus 147. The U6 line also stops at Naturkundemuseum.
If you decide to walk from Hauptbahnhof (main station), leave the station in direction “Europaplatz”, cross Europaplatz and turn right into Invalidenstraße. Directly after crossing the canal, you go right and follow the signs for the Berlin Medical Historical Museum. Next door – nr 16 – you find the Lecture Hall Ruin. To the CharitéCrossOver building (venue A) you follow Virchowweg to nr 6 (also on the right).
From the S + U Friedrichstraße, bus 147 (direction S + U Hauptbahnhof), takes you to the Charité entrance (3 stops) at Luisenstraße (bus stop Schumannstraße). By foot, you follow the Reinhardtstraße and Luisenstraße to the entrance at Charitéplatz (main check point, information) and follow the drive to Virchowweg 6.
From the underground station Naturkundemuseum (U 6), you reach the Invalidenstraße – passing the Naturkundemuseum you go to Sandkrugbrücke (bridge), turn left at the canal and follow the signs to the Berlin Medical Historical Museum (about 12 min. on foot). To the CharitéCrossOver building (venue A) you follow Virchowweg to nr 6.
It is not advisable to arrive by car as there are very few places to park near the Charité. There is only the car park at Phillipstraße/Hannoversche Straße or a parking garage at Luisenstraße (both subject to fees).
The two Berlin airports are well connected to the public transport system. Please use the rapid transit system (S-Bahn) or the underground (U-Bahn) to reach the museum.
